A Multidisciplinary Research Centre Established in March 2022 with focus on Training, Research and Consultancy in the area of Information Technology.
Elevate NIT Calicut to the smartest T- School in the country through intelligent and automated IT Enabled services in a sustainable manner for all academic, research, co-curricular and outreach activities.
Mission
- Master Plans with scientific and futuristic planning and procurement of Network Infrastructure for the Campus Networking Centre and Central Computer Centre.
- Complete2 Automation of all the activities of the Institute
- Creating Opportunity for students who are interested in IT to do projects on campus related problems and help them to earn while they learn
- State of the art Research infrastructure in the Area of Network and Cyber Security available to interested members from all the departments
- Training programmes/certificate courses and consultancy in the areas of Cyber Security, Campus Automation and related areas
- Industry sponsored research positions /scholarships for PhD Scholars.
- Guiding Doctoral candidates in multi-disciplinary areas where IT has a major role
Objectives
Automate all activities of the Institute including academic, research and co-curricular with smart IT enabled services.
Plan, procure and deploy state of the art IT infrastructure for the Institute
Establish a research lab on Network Security and Wireless Analysis.
Execute funded R&D projects in the area of Cyber Security and Wireless Networks.
Utilize the potential of the talented students of NIT through paid internship schemes for developing IT enabled services for the campus (Earn while you Learn).
