The Centre has 190+ client machines and has a capacity to include 400+ machines. Client systems are of both desktop and workstation genre. Desktops contain HP Prodesk 600 G2, DELL OPTIPLEX 755 and 7010 series which are of adequate performance and workstations contain Fujitsu Celsius W570 power, HP XW4550 and DELL Precision series machines which are capable of more than handling high end production and design level applications.CCC hosts some of the high end servers and a hybrid cluster machine. Servers include DELL PowerEdge T620 which has a dual Hexa-core processor and HP ProLiant Rack server which has a dual Quad-core processor.High performance cluster machine (14 node CPU-GPU cluster system) which has a computational capability of 25 TeraFlops is accessible along the length and the breadth of nitc campus.CCC plans to expand and transform in to a world class facility in the near future with a futuristic outlook by strongly activating the super computer user group activities,and encompassing parallel computing servers,multi processor compute servers and application servers etc..

GPU servers are  servers  packed with graphics cards, designed to harness the raw processing power. Using an offloading process, the CPU can hand specific tasks to the GPUs, increasing performance. They can have thousands of cores running in parallel. The result is that certain mathematical operations can run faster on a GPU than a CPU . Here we have Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 containing a V100 GPU card with 32 GB Graphics RAM serves for the purpose. It contains various software packages like Cuda 10.1, PyCuda, Tensor flow 2.0, for various student projects like parallel programming, etc

HPC Cluster is a group of computing nodes joins computational powers of them to provide a more combined computational power. Therefore, cluster computing utilizes multiple machines to provide a more powerful computing environment perhaps through a single operating system. In its simplest structure, as said above the HPC clusters are intended to utilize parallel computing to apply more processor force for the solving the problem. Though from the outside the cluster may look like a single system, the internal workings to make this happen can be quite complex. The idea is that the individual tasks that make up a parallel application should run equally well on whatever node they are dispatched on. However, some nodes in a cluster often have some physical and logical differences. A High-Performance cluster at Central computer center is shown in Figure below has a 14 node architecture; One master node, 6 GPU Compute node, 6 compute nodes, 1 Xeon Phi (KNL) node
