The Department of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HAS), in collaboration with the Centre for Information Technology Research and Automation (CITRA), organized the ANRF-sponsored workshop titled “Digital Humanities in Practice: Tools, Methods, Applications (DHP’25)”. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the emerging interdisciplinary field of Digital Humanities, which integrates computational tools and methodologies with traditional humanities research. The sessions highlighted the growing significance of Digital Humanities in contemporary scholarship, emphasizing its applications in disciplines such as literature, history, art, and cultural studies. Speakers discussed how digital technologies enable innovative approaches to examining historical texts, analyzing cultural patterns, and visualizing complex data, thereby creating new opportunities for research and pedagogy. Overall, the workshop underscored the interdisciplinary nature of Digital Humanities and fostered collaboration between scholars from the humanities and technology domains.
