SAMUDRA

Sustainable Applications for Mobility, Urban Development and Resilience using Artificial intelligence (SAMUDRA)

This is an R&D Project sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India with a funding of Rupees Two crores. In line with the national AI mission, “Make AI in India and Make AI Work for India”, the project envisages designing AI-based solutions with a profound societal impact. NITC has the unique distinction of being the only NIT in the country to be selected as part of the "AI Centres of Excellence (AI CoE), Ministry of Education" initiative. The Phase 1 of this project on PoC implementations of various verticals of the SAMUDRA project is nearing completion. Dr. S.D Madhu Kumar, Chairperson, CITRA is the chief project manager of this Project.
